The St. John's Boys' Choir offers an enriching experience in music education with an emphasis in vocal music, as well as the socializing experiences of shared enterprise, fellowship, cultural awareness, and touring for boys ages 8-15. The choir promotes vocal music education in Central Minnesota and offers the unique experience of a well-trained boys' choir to its audiences.
35th Anniversary

SJBC invites all our friends, patrons, alumni, and audience members from the past 35 years to come celebrate with us during our 35th anniversary. Many special events are already planned including an Alumni Reunion at Thanksgiving, a month dedicated to visiting Central MN schools, an appearance at the state ACDA conference, hosting the Minnesota State Boychoir Festival, a concert tour to Ireland, and performances of several major works including Britten's Ceremony of Carols in December and Bernstein's Chichester Psalms in June. Stay tuned as we reveal full details of our special anniversary season over the summer.

New staff

Our 35th anniversary season will provide opportunities for our alums to "come home" to SJBC at various events, but some of our previous choirboys and staff members are coming back in a very special way. This July, Angi Klaverkamp will step into the role of Interim Executive Director. Ms. Klaverkamp worked for SJBC as a college student from 2007-2011. Alumnus Andrew Kendall '07 is our new Associate Artistic Director. Mr Kendall holds a degree in Music Education from Gustavus Adolphus College and is the choral music teacher at Holdingford High School. Cody Ewald '11 is the newest addition to our student staff, beginning his freshman year as a Music Education major at SJU.
